PSV Approved: Module G - Walk around Checks, Defect Reporting, Safe Loading & Security (7 hrs)


LGV/PSV Approved: Module J - Emergency First Aid – Part 1 (DCPC & Ofqual Level 3 Cert, 1 Day) (7 hrs)

The content of this course provides basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:


LGV Approved: Module ADR Day 1, 2 & 3 – Carriage of Dangerous Goods - (Up to 21 hours, 3 Days)

A driver transporting dangerous goods by road in most tankers, large tank containers, in bulk or in packages over a given amount, must be in possession of an ADR Driver Training Qualification issued by the SQA on behalf of the Dept. for Transport.

The qualification, in the form of an ADR Driver Training Certificate, can be obtained for either ‘Packaged Goods’ or for ‘Tanks’, or both, following successful completion of an approved ADR Dangerous Goods training course.

To gain the Driver Training Certificate, candidates must pass multiple choice examinations in a minimum of three modules; i.e. the core module - either packaged goods or tank module - and at least one of the nine hazard classes. The ADR Driver Training Certificate has a 5 year life and can be refreshed from the end of year 4. Refresher training must take place before the final 4 weeks of the certificate’s life.

The ADR training may be counted towards the Driver CPC, up to 21 hours (3 modules) of the Initial Course.

Initial 3.5 day Packages Course including Core, Packages and 7 classes (Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9) - suitable for drivers who are carrying hazardous substances in drums, sacks, cylinders, etc. are held on a weekday or weekend basis. Training can be restricted to one class if required e.g. Class 2 (Gases) or Class 3 (Flammable Liquids).
